Brandon Ingram is just one step away from a full-ride college scholarship as one of the top one tenth of one percent of high school seniors.

Ingram took the PSAT/NMSQT last year along with 1.5 million other high school juniors. About 16,000 of those students were named as Nation Merit Semi Finalists last fall, including 200 students in Oklahoma.

Now, he’s made the cut to Finalist status, making him eligible for full ride scholarships at a number of universities and other National Merit Scholarship programs.

Ingram has applied to Tulsa University, the University of Oklahoma, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He plans to major in computer science.

The Oologah senior is the son of Dr. Wesley and Patricia Ingram. He has attended Oologah-Talala Schools since third grade.
